Jacinta, I notice you haven't gotten any responses to your question. That's probably because none of us knows the answer.

In the US you wouldn't have a problem doing commercial print work at 5'7", and Asian models can be much shorter. But in the US there is a substantial number (millions) of Asian consumers who get targetted by advertisers, so they use Asian models. It's hard for us here in the US to know whether there is a market for Asian (or half-Asian) models in Melbourne. Only your local agencies can tell you for sure.

I can tell you that the half-Asian look is very popular in Japan, and 5'7" is tall enough to do the catalog work they shoot so much of there. You might look into working in Tokyo or Osaka.
